The Library is seeking to fill a number of immediate non-ongoing APS3 Imaging Officer vacancies as they become available.
This process will also be used to establish a merit pool that can be accessed to fill anticipated ongoing and non-ongoing vacancies, at this level, within a period of 18 months from the date of advertisement.
The Imaging Officer, Digitisation Projects works as part of a flexible Imaging Team to undertake a varied range of imaging production tasks and projects for the Digitisation Projects and the Trove Community Services Sections.
This is a hands-on role that supports digitisation across a range of priorities and under the direction of the Imaging Team Leader involves: Scanning of Library collection material in various formats, including pictures, manuscripts, books and journals.
Quality assurance of digitised images.
Acquiring a basic knowledge of Library scanning equipment and troubleshooting issues.
Contributing to continuous improvements in workflows and practices.
