Support the Master Airport Planning Team in this newly created role where you will showcase your administrative and stakeholder management skills. Melbourne Airport welcomes over 33 million passengers annually, creating tens of thousands of jobs while serving as a critical gateway for Australia.
As we embark on a significant expansion, including the construction of a third runway, we are searching for a motivated and proactive Approvals Coordinator.
As a key member of our Master Airport Planning Team, the Approvals Coordinator will provide administrative and project management support for master planning team activities relating to Melbourne Airport's Third Runway approval conditions (Noise Sharing Plan), Eastern Extension Project, in addition to other master plans around the airport precinct.
Key responsibilities:
Ensure governance is in place to confirm key cost control activities are undertaken where required.Ensure governance is in place to confirm that cash flow forecasts are accurate and align with schedule.Liaise with internal stakeholders and external cost consultants to support the development of accurate project budgets.Provide program schedule, cost and cash flow data for compilation into monthly reporting and other ad hoc schedule and cost reports as required by the business.Provide meeting collateral for regular internal APAM meetings and external meetings as required.Effectively manage MDP schedules with close liaison with the PMO where required.Support approvals/planning teams to manage and deliver the M3R and MAR Major Development Plans.Conduct regular reviews with key stakeholders to ensure the integrity of schedules.Support the project teams to meet planned schedule milestones as well as timely completion of key compliance.Participate in project risk reviews to ensure schedule risks are identified, assessed and provisioned within project schedules where appropriate.The successful candidate will have:
Strong scheduling and cost management skills.Strong meeting management skills (agenda, minutes, actions tracking, etc).Stakeholder management and strong communication skills.Proficient in the use of MS Office suite (especially MS Project).Experience in Project Controls of large Infrastructure programs will be highly regarded.A proven track record of effective project controls on a major project or program.Approvals and business knowledge with emphasis in building and civil infrastructure.Experience in planning and/or environmental approvals.A self-starter and can-do attitude.We understand that not everyone will feel they meet all of these 100%.
