What is the opportunity?
APPRENTICESHIP IN FITTING AND TURNING We are currently seeking 2 keen individuals interested in becoming part of our Maintenance Team and completing an apprenticeship in Fitting and Turning in our modern Export Red Meat Processing Plant. This role will be a part of a team who provide day to day machinery maintenance and breakdown repairs of the plant.
What skills are we looking for? An interest in Mechanical Engineering (Maintenance Fitting & Turning)An interest in Welding with mig, tig and gas.An interest in fault finding and repairing all types of machinery.Willing and able to attend all external TAFE courses and training.Good common sense and strong understanding of safety requirements.Ability to comply and follow all Workplace Health & Safety policies.What experience are we looking for? Previous experience in a food processing facility would be an advantage.An interest in fault finding and problem solving.Welding and fabricatingMachinery repair and preventative maintenanceCommitment to workplace health and safety.Ability to work unsupervised and complete tasks in required time frame.All applicants should have permanent work rights in Australia.
All training will be provided, and successful applicants will be signed up to the apprenticeship through our training department and external providers.
Successful applicants should have their own reliable transportation and be able to attend all external TAFE training.
