Apprenticeship - Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical qualification – AUR31120 Under supervision, you will learn the necessary skills to service, maintain and repair vehicles, whilst working in a team environment. As an apprentice you will also be responsible for workshop cleaning and assisting other members of the team with servicing and problem solving. What would this involve? You would be employed by Work & Training for the duration of your apprenticeship and assigned to a host business. Full time. Full entitlements including four weeks of holidays per year. Theory training conducted by TasTAFE – 6 x one week blocks per year. You would receive mentoring and support throughout the traineeship. Gain valuable experience on the job: You will be involved in a variety of work including scheduled servicing, maintenance and repair of Heavy Commercial Vehicles and some light vehicles. If you have a genuine interest in mechanical technology, you will gain an excellent insight in to this industry, with the apprenticeship setting you up for an excellent future career pathway. Knowledge of Work Health & Safety requirements. Ability to work with oils, grease, petrol & diesel. Desirable Criteria: Certificate II in Automotive or similar VET course qualification.
