The OpportunityWe have an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice Spray Painter to join the team at Wales Truck Repairs.
As an Apprentice Spray Painter, you will be responsible for applying paint and other coatings to heavy vehicles, specifically trucks.
You will work under the guidance of experienced spray painters to learn the techniques and skills required to produce high-quality finishes on large vehicles.
Role ResponsibilitiesAs an Apprentice Spray Painter at Wales Truck Repairs, you will learn:
Cleaning, sanding, and masking vehicle surfaces to prepare them for paintMixing and matching paint colours to accurately match the desired colourUsing spray guns and other equipment to apply paint evenly and smoothly onto vehicle surfacesApplying primers and sealers to promote paint adhesion, prevent rust, and create a solid foundation for the topcoatApplying multiple layers of paint, including basecoat, clearcoat, and other specialised coatingsSkilfully blending new paint into existing areasPerforming detailed touch-ups to correct imperfectionsCreating special textures, patterns, or effects using different techniquesMonitoring and controlling drying and curing processesInspecting painted surfaces for flawsAdhering to safety protocols, using proper ventilation, protective gear, and ensuring a safe working environment for oneself and others.Does this sound like you?
