ADD VALUE - THE ROLE The Apprentice Parks and Gardens is responsible for assisting the Parks teams with the presentation of the open space network which, incorporates passive open space, sporting fields, parks and playgrounds, gardens, cemeteries, street scapes and trees within the open space network.
Key responsibilities include: Assist Council's Parks staff in the construction, maintenance and enhancement of Council Parks and Reserves assets Assist Parks staff in horticultural activities Assist Parks staff in labouring activities and grounds maintenance Operate a range of plant and equipment This position is offered on a temporary basis (up to 4-year apprenticeship) working 38 hours per week.
Remuneration package for this position is based in accordance with the Local Government (state) Award in the range of $803.30 - $1042.10 per week plus superannuation and other award allowances.
