The OpportunityWe have an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice Panel Beater to join the team at Western Truck Repairs.
As an Apprentice Panel Beater, you will work under the guidance of experienced Panel Beaters to learn the skills and techniques required to produce high quality finishes on heavy vehicles.
Role responsibilitiesAs an Apprentice Panel Beater at Western Truck Repairs, you will learn:
Repairing and replacing damaged bodywork on trucks, buses and trailers, using welding and cutting techniques and specialised equipmentDisassembling vehiclesLabelling parts and storing accordinglyChecking new parts are correct and not damagedReassembling vehicle as per Job SheetYou will be required to: Follow all safety policies and procedures, ensuring appropriate PPE is worn at all timesHandle all company tools and equipment with due care and attention ensuring they remain safe, clean and in a workable conditionComplete all course theory work by the due date as requiredDoes this sound like you? Willingness to learn and take direction: You will need to follow instructions from experienced staff and be open to learning new techniques and skillsStrong work ethic and reliability: We are looking for someone who will be punctual, dependable, and willing to work hardGenuine desire, commitment and enthusiasm to build a career in the heavy motor repair industryWe know that sometimes people need non-standard work hours and would be happy to discuss the options available in this role, or similar roles across our business.
