The Opportunity:
Our host company is a leading Australian provider of expert maintenance, repair, and efficiency solutions to Australia's largest steel producer, Blue Scope Steel. Start your career as a Maintenance Fitter Apprentice and be part of an international group that looks after 30 plants in 14 countries.
Location:
Hastings, VIC
Benefits:

The ability to earn money while learning a trade.
Obtain a nationally recognised qualification.
Obtain a Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering.
Mentoring from experienced industry professionals throughout your apprenticeship.
All training fees and PPE paid for.

Duties may include:

Mechanical assembly.
Mechanical maintenance activities.
Examining and understanding detailed drawings and specifications to determine the requirements for the task.
Operate and adjust metalworking machines to create parts or tools by turning, boring, milling, shaping, slotting, grinding, or drilling metal stock or components.
Using hand and machine tools, welding equipment, and CNC machines.
Ensure accuracy and quality of finished parts, tools, or sub-assemblies.
Operating lathes, machining centres, sheet metal folders, and benders.

About You:
Must be an Australian Citizen or permanent resident with the right to work in Australia.
Completion of Year 10 High School.
Drivers Licence and reliable transport.
