About the role TAFE SA is looking for a dedicated Apprentice Liaison Officer (ALO) to join the Future Industry & Trade (FIT) Division.
This specialist role focuses on providing case management for apprentices and their employers engaged in trade training.
By mentoring and supporting apprentices, the ALO will ensure a smooth apprenticeship journey, while maintaining TAFE SA's compliance with relevant regulations.
Collaborating with a range of stakeholders, the ALO plays a key role in enhancing student retention, completion, and career pathways.
Key Responsibilities Provide tailored case management and mentoring to apprentices, fostering successful outcomes.Collaborate with employers, industry representatives, and internal teams to address training needs.Develop and implement service standards, ensuring clear communication and expectations.Facilitate career pathway advice for pre-apprenticeship, apprenticeship, and post-trade stages.Prepare detailed reports, analyse data, and contribute recommendations to support decision-making.Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and standards.The successful candidate must have: Proven experience in building relationships within the Australian Apprenticeship or VET sector.Expertise in case management, providing tailored advice to diverse clients.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to manage conflict effectively.Experience working with diverse groups, including individuals with disabilities or low literacy.A track record of managing change and driving continuous improvement initiatives.The ability to analyse complex data, prepare reports, and ensure regulatory compliance.Special Conditions
The successful applicant is required to demonstrate having a valid Working With Children Check (WWCC) prior to being employed.
Applicants who do not hold a WWCC will need to apply at Department of Human Services (DHS).
Out of hours work may be requiredSome intra/interstate travel may be required.Incumbent will be required to participate in the department's Performance Development Program.Eligibility to work in Australia.Please refer to the Role Description for all Special Conditions.
