Whether you already have a trade, you're an apprentice, or you have no experience at all, we're hiring.
You'll be paid from day one to gain all the skills needed with extensive on-the-job trade training.

Your duties include, but aren't limited to maintaining: Weapons systems (guns, missiles and torpedo launchers)Underwater systems (SONAR, echo sounders, torpedos)Electronic warfare and combat management systemsCommunication, navigation and surveillance systemsSubmariner: There is also the option to specialise as an Electronics Technician Submariner and be a part of the most exclusive and stable workforce in Australia.
Your role will be to ensure the submarine's torpedo-firing systems, underwater sonars, navigation systems, periscopes and other high-tech systems are kept in peak working order onboard a submarine and ashore.
Upon completion of your initial military and employment training, you'll enjoy a salary package starting from $77,451 for surface fleet and $90,437 for submariners.
Period of Service requirements: General Entry Sailor roles now have an Initial Minimum Period of Service (IMPS) between 2 and 3 years for all applicants.
Fitness requirements: A Pre-entry Fitness Assessment (PFA) is no longer a requirement for Navy roles, except for Divers.
To join the Navy, it's important that you meet the necessary medical and physical requirements.
Regular exercise prior to joining will set you up for success as it is an important part of training and service life.
Once you join, Navy will support your physical conditioning to ensure you're prepared to serve.

For this role, you must be over 17 at time of enlistment, an Australian Citizen and have passed Year 10 English, Maths and Science (preferably with Physics).
