The Gold Fields apprentice intake starts in January and offers tailored mentoring, technical development, and role-specific training to help you succeed. You'll learn from our international team of talented professionals, exchanging knowledge, building skills, and gaining experience at one of our four mine sites.
Responsibilities: Reporting to the Electrical Coordinator, you will be responsible for gaining and developing the required skills to successfully complete the requirements of an apprenticeship in an Electrical trade.You will receive extensive on-the-job training as well as formal TAFE training to support your development throughout the journey.Maintain a high level of health, safety, and environmental awareness and comply with all relevant policies and procedures.Develop individual capacity to qualify as a tradesperson by undertaking all aspects of formal and informal training aligned to the Apprenticeship training plan outline and site requirements as directed by site training personnel.Apply underpinning knowledge and skills gained through the apprentice training program to enhance the reliability, serviceability, and availability of site equipment and infrastructure relevant to your trade.Ensure a safe work environment by maintaining your work area in a clean, tidy, and hazard-free state.Use the site safety management system to report all hazards and incidents.Contribute to the overall effectiveness of the maintenance team by providing support and assistance as directed.About you: Completion of Year 10 (including Mathematics).Sound communication and computer literacy skills.WA Manual Drivers License.A genuine interest and general understanding of the Electrical trade.Successful completion of a Certificate II Pre Apprenticeship in Electrical would be highly regarded.We are committed to achieving a diverse and inclusive workforce, and strongly encourage applications from female, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, as well as candidates with culturally diverse backgrounds.
