Jackson Motor Company is seeking an enthusiastic Apprentice looking to work with cutting-edge technology on a range of leading brands such as Isuzu UTE, JAC, and Suzuki in our modern Derwent Park dealership.
Receive formal training as well as on-the-job mentoring by our highly experienced team who will guide and train you as you work towards a Certificate III in Automotive.
About you:
You are a mature, dedicated, and mechanically minded car enthusiast who spends your free time working on project cars or helping friends who know you to be a great backyard mechanic. You're mechanically minded with the ability to understand how and why things work, and you have a passion for a career in the automotive industry, with the drive to acquire and retain technical knowledge and apply this to the highest possible standard.
To be successful, you will have:
Strong problem-solving skillsA good understanding of maths and electronicsA genuine interest in the automotive fieldThe ability to work well in a team environmentA positive attitude and a proactive naturePride in your work and strong attention to detailCandidates with a Cert II in Automotive Light Vehicle and/or prior hands-on experience servicing and repairing vehicles in a domestic environment will be highly regarded.
You will also need a current manual driver's licence, a clean criminal history, and you must pass a pre-employment medical test (including drug and alcohol).
