Jackson Motor Company is seeking an enthusiastic Apprentice looking to work with cutting edge technology on a range of leading brands such as Isuzu UTE, JAC and Suzuki in our modern Derwent Park dealership.
Receive formal training as well as on the job mentoring by our highly experienced team who will guide and train you as you work towards a Certificate III in Automotive.
About you:
You are a mature, dedicated and mechanically minded car enthusiast who spends your free time working on project cars or helping friends who know you to be a great backyard mechanic. You're mechanically minded with the ability to understand how and why things work and you have a passion for a career in the automotive industry, with the drive to acquire and retain technical knowledge and apply this to the highest possible standard.
To be successful, you will have:
Strong problem-solving skillsA good understanding of maths and electronicsA genuine interest in the automotive fieldThe ability to work well in a team environmentA positive attitude and a proactive naturePride in your work and strong attention to detailCandidates with a Cert II in Automotive Light Vehicle and/or prior hands-on experience servicing and repairing vehicles in a domestic environment will be highly regarded.
You will also need a current manual driver's licence, a clean criminal history, and you must pass a pre-employment medical test (including drug and alcohol).
