The Opportunity Boeing Defence Australia are currently recruiting for an Apprentice Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical) to be based at Nowra NSW.
Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) is an integral part of the Boeing global organisation, employing approximately 1200 people at 13 sites around the country, primarily in support of high technology aerospace and communications systems for the Department of Defence.
Responsibilites As an Apprentice Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical) you willbe responsible for gaining skills and experience in maintenance and modification of the EC135 Mechanical systems and associated equipment, in support of attainment of an Aeroskills Certificate IV as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical).
Your duties will include Aircraft flight-line handling and servicing duties, removal and installation of aircraft components, disassembly and reassembly of aircraft components, preparation and use of aircraft support equipment and inspection, maintenance, servicing, repair and fault diagnosis of components and systems.
In addition, you will be required to attend training with a Registered Training Organisation during normal working hours.
Experience/Qualifications Essential Criteria * Mechanical aptitude * Ability to work in a team; * Ability to successfully interact with co-workers, maintaining productive working relationships to meet team, business unit, and organisational goals; * Able to speak, read and write fluent English; * Flexibility with working hours and locations; * Must be an Australian Citizen; * Be able to obtain a "Baseline" Security Clearance as per Defence Department requirements; and * Willingness to reside in Nowra area Desirable Criteria * Competence with Microsoft office suite.
* Knowledge of aircraft operational procedures.
