About the Business With a history of over 160 years in the Australian and New Zealand sugar industries, Wilmar Sugar Australia operations span the value chain from sugar cane growing, sugar manufacturing, refining, exporting, and marketing, to the production of renewable electricity, ethanol and sustainable agricultural products. To be more specific, Wilmar manufactures over half of Australia's raw sugar, and each year exports enough electricity to power more than 68,000 Australian homes for 12 months. As well as supplying ethanol (ethyl alcohol) to the growing fuel market in Australia, Wilmar also supplies a significant market share to various industries including the pharmaceutical, printing, cleaning, winery, aerosol, animal health and food and beverage industries. Positions available include - Harvesting Coordinator - Assist with contractor and employee compliance of Wilmar Sugar policies and procedures, as well as training Operators. Coordinate with cane supply and transport team in relation to daily bin allocations. Assist with burning of sugar cane. Haul Out Operator - Operating cane tractor transporter units as well as general farm hand duties. For all roles, we are looking for applicants who are willing to complete an entire crushing season which generally runs from June through to December subject to weather conditions and other factors. Desired Experience Required - Harvesting Coordinator Operate sugar cane harvester and sugar cane hauling equipment (Tractor Transporters). "HR" class driver's licence (Water truck) Operating auxiliary equipment i.e. tractor break pusher Basic mechanical experience i.e. servicing of equipment Desired Experience Required - Haul out Operator Experience operating tractor transporters Experience driving heavy machinery Recent practical agricultural experience in a similar role within the sugar industry "C" Class driver's licence & other applicable operator certificates/ licenses to operate the equipment A requirement of the recruitment process is to complete a pre-employment medical which includes a urine drug and alcohol screen, physio assessment and medical assessment.
