The tasks include relocating sugarcane from farms to the factory through shift work. The tasks include transporting sugarcane from farms to factories on a shift roster. The positions are usually either loco driver assistants or physically demanding roles like cane rail labourers who are responsible for maintaining and repairing the lines that our locos run on. For all roles, first preference is for applicants who are willing to complete an entire crushing season which generally runs from June through to December. Other skills or tickets, such as High Risk Work Licence, Tafe Modules, or HR Drivers' Licence may be viewed favourably, so please ensure these form part of your application. A requirement of the recruitment process is to complete a pre-employment medical which includes a urine drug and alcohol screen, physical and medical assessment.
