Job Summary:
My client is looking for an energetic and strategic Country Manager to drive their growth in Australia and New Zealand.
The successful candidate will focus on acquiring new customers, overseeing project management and presales activities, and managing partnerships with key product vendors.
This role demands strong sales expertise, leadership, and the ability to manage partnerships effectively while maintaining a hands-on understanding of technical processes and project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive regional growth, supported by a central growth hacking team.
Lead and motivate a local team to manage projects and drive presales activities, ensuring seamless integration of client needs and technical solutions.
Develop and implement effective sales strategies to engage potential clients and close deals.
Build and nurture strong relationships with product vendors and key stakeholders to enhance service offerings and market presence.
Collaborate with remote teams to ensure successful delivery of projects and services to clients.
Analyse market trends and customer needs to tailor business strategies and solutions.
Represent the company at industry events to strengthen professional networks and expand opportunities.
Establish and maintain efficient operational processes, ensuring a structured approach to regional activities.
Travel as required, including international trips to collaborate with global offices.
Required Qualifications:
7+ years of experience in sales and business development, preferably within Australia and New Zealand.
Strong understanding of the digital agency or e-commerce landscape, with demonstrated success in client acquisition and retention.
Proven ability to lead teams and execute high-quality project delivery within a fast-paced environment.
Excellent networking, communication, and negotiation skills to drive relationships and business growth.
Hands-on understanding of technologies like Optimizely, Adobe, and Contentful, along with integrations involving SAP, payment providers, and other enterprise tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
Background in agency work with experience managing large-scale digital transformation projects.
Knowledge of e-commerce platforms, particularly Magento/Adobe Commerce or similar systems.
Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools to optimise client engagement and business strategies.
