About the OPPORTUNITY We currently have an exciting opportunity for a motivated Applications Team Lead within JORN, based at Edinburgh Parks, SA.
Reporting to the ICT Service Delivery manager, you will be responsible for the leadership and day to day management of the Applications Team.
The Lead and their team are responsible for the design, configuration, and support of all business systems applications, across all JORN networks.
Key responsibilities include: Manage a team of Applications Administrators and Database Administrators.Provide leadership and technical direction to the Applications Team.Coach direct reports in the achievement of development objectives.Contribute to the overall ICT strategy, technical direction and vision.Manage the workload, priorities and tasking of the Applications Team.Manage, monitor and report progress of all applications related activities.Manage the Applications roadmap and patching cycles.Manage software licences, budgets, and vendor support agreements for all business systems applications used on JORN.Engage in stakeholder management across ICT teams, project teams, and customer communities.Review and approve engineering changes within the scope of delegation.Comply with engineering processes and procedures as outlined by relevant management plans.Provide input and offer recommendations towards improvement of processes and standard procedures, and lead process improvement initiatives.About YOU Proven experience leading a technical team.Demonstrated experience managing priorities and project deadlines.Experience in the administration of business systems applications such as Windchill, DOORS, Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence, Crowd, Bitbucket, Bamboo, Fisheye/Crucible), or Maximo.Understanding of database technologies, including Oracle and MSSQL.Familiarity with Linux (Red Hat) and Windows operating systems and environments.Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology.Experience in change management and configuration control.Familiarity with cyber security and Information Systems Security Policies and Procedures, including the Information Security Manual (ISM).Current NV1/NV2 security clearance.Eligibility to be cleared for International Traffic In Arms (ITAR) regulations.We believe in hiring for potential, we know that some candidates hesitate if they don't tick all the boxes.
