The Role

The Solution Architect is responsible for architecting, and assisting with the delivery of, strategic software initiatives at the City of Whittlesea. The Solution Architect has overarching responsibility for the council's enterprise and integration architecture. The Solution Architect also ensures that the solutions delivered, either internally or externally by vendors, are fit for purpose and are developed in a consistent manner taking into consideration aspects of security, performance, reliability, scalability, and best practice software methodologies.
About you
You will have extensive experience in architecting and implementing ERP and CRM solutions within large organisations, with a particular focus on Salesforce. You will have a grounding in software development and be proficient with software development tools, best practices, and integration architecture. You will have experience with developing SaaS solutions as well as a solid understanding of how to facilitate the interaction of legacy and new systems via APIs.
You will be a strong communicator and be comfortable explaining complex technical ideas to people at all levels of the business as well as external vendors. You will be passionate about technology and innovation with a keen eye for detail and have experience leading and mentoring technical teams.
