About the opportunity  We have an opening for an Application Support Engineer to join our Technology Delivery team. This is a permanent, full time role based in Geelong with hybrid working available for our team.
As an Application Support Engineer, you will provide level 2 and 3 application support for GMHBA's Core Systems including issue troubleshooting and debugging, development and delivery of timely resolutions into the production environment, and the installation of software patches and upgrades. You will be passionate about delighting your customers, getting to the bottom of application and integration issues, and providing permanent solutions. Your technical expertise ensures you can identify, debug, and remediate suspect code, and your strong emphasis on clear communication ensures you helpfully translate the issue and resolution to business stakeholders.
The Delivery team is a cross-functional team of passionate application professionals responsible for the design, delivery, integration, and ongoing support & management of the core business applications serving the needs of our staff and their customers.
About you
Our ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience; however we would love to hear from people who feel they would be a great fit but may not tick all of the boxes: 
• IT Service Management including incident, problem and change management
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Experience within the SDLC including defining required system changes and various forms of software testing
• Experience developing and maintaining API applications using REST/JSON, Web Services
• Understanding of C# and T-SQL or equivalent programming languages
• Experience working with MSSQL Server
• Excellent collaborator, with strong written and verbal communication skills
• Able to work effectively and flexibly in a changing environment
• Natural inclination to identify and evaluate continuous improvement opportunities
• Excellent documentation skills

Highly desirable 
• Private Health Insurance industry experience
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM
• Experience with ServiceNow
• Experience working with Azure API Management, .NET Web API, .NET Framework, OAUTH2
• Experience working with GIT source control
• ITIL Foundation or greater
