Permanent - Full Time (Flexible)

Band 8 - $122,746.59 - $137,547.07+ super + RDO (RDO applicable for full time 38 hours per week only)

The Application Operations Lead is responsible for the management of the City of Yarra's business systems, including security, administration, maintenance, and development.
The role works closely with business partners, stakeholders, and vendors to manage and support workflow and application development.
The role is responsible for planning and managing the release of upgrades and enhancements to systems.
They are also required to contribute to strategic planning, systems architecture, and system integration as it relates to organisational business systems.

The successful candidate will possess:

Experience of managing an outsourced IT function an advantage

Understanding of the technologies and platforms the enterprise operates on, including software, hardware, and network systems.

Demonstrated experience in the management and support of corporate systems in a large government or commercial setting, including business as usual support, lifecycle, business system architecture planning and management.

Excellent understanding of industry trends, problem solving, advanced analytical and troubleshooting ability and thinking to help reduce business costs and continuously improve outcomes.

Proven ability to manage a broad spectrum of relationships and partnerships within a highly complex multi-stakeholder environment and building the capability of others to manage these relationships.

Capacity to contribute to strategic planning processes, aligning the support team's goals with the broader organisational objectives.

Ability to quickly diagnose and troubleshoot application issues, including complex problems that may span multiple systems.

ITIL, or relevant application-specific accreditation, will be looked at favourably.
