As Application Lab Manager you will lead the design and development of the application lab, developing it from scratch in line with best practices and company objectives.
Responsibilities:Work closely with the Sales and Management teams to identify and analyze customer needs, particularly in the mining sector.Leverage customer feedback and mining community networks to uncover challenges that can be solved through R&D innovations or existing product portfolios.Actively engage with key stakeholders within the mining community and explore opportunities to work with key equipment manufacturers to identify ways to add value through mechanical and chemical synergies.Attend mining conferences, workshops, and trade shows to maintain a strong industry presence and understand evolving trends and challenges.Oversee the lab's day-to-day activities, supporting the development, testing, and optimisation of chemical solutions.Provide technical support for pilot-scale applications and assist in transitioning from pilot to full-scale plant operations.Assist the sales team in technical presentation and product demonstrations to key customers.Collaborate with global R&D teams to drive innovation in product development and ensure successful commercialisation of new solutions.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.8+ years' experience in R&D or Application Lab management preferably within the chemical industry or mining sector.Strong background in chemical product development, lab design, and operational management.Familiarity with pilot-scale to full-scale plant transition processes.Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams including Sales, Marketing, and R&D.Strong networking skills with proven experience engaging with the mining industry.Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex technical solutions to a non-technical audience.Experience working with international teams and managing cross-border collaborations.What's in it for me?
