We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate individual to join the team as an Application Design Engineer in our Melbourne office.
The Application Design Engineer will be responsible for working with our sales team, customers, and consultants to design and price solutions that meet the customers' requirements while putting Schneider in a winning position.
Our projects range from small to large technical services packages with high levels of system integration and can be on construction sites or within operating Data Centers. Responsibilities Build sales plan and execute in partnership with sales team.Act as the technical interface between sales and sales support, Line of Business and customers in line with the regional business strategy.Identify opportunities in co-operation with sales team.Assist sales with a higher level of expertise in front of selected customers.Work as part of the GCP RAC team, attend team meetings, 1 to 1 sessions with manager and project sales updates.Deliver project solutions to achieve desired outcomes.Manage solutions to ensure margin and profitability is maintained.Ensure compliance to the Schneider Electric Customer Project Process.Manage Risk and opportunity across all projects. Ideal Candidate Degree or Diploma qualification in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.More than 5 years' experience as an Application Engineer.In-depth knowledge of relevant communications technologies e.g.
Ethernet, serial, Modbus, IEC61850, DNP.Ability to build relationships with relevant technical and commercial representatives of key customers.Ability to represent Schneider Electric and work collaboratively with other Schneider Electric Businesses.Basic understanding of business and financial terms such as Capex, Opex, ROI, etc.Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.Ability to conduct presentations for different audiences.Excellent relationship management skills & customer focus.
