Application Administrator – Dynamics

Position Overview: As an Application Administrator, you will be critical in managing and optimizing our Microsoft Dynamics applications.
You will work closely with various teams to ensure the smooth operation of our database management systems and support our users in leveraging these tools effectively.
You will collaborate closely with the ICT operations manager in this role, translating user requirements into technical specifications.
A minimum of 1 year of experience working with/supporting Microsoft Dynamics is essential with a background in IT for 5 years and above.
Key Accountabilities: – Install, configure, and support software applications, and ensure capability with existing systems and business requirements.
– Monitor application performance and troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions promptly.
– Perform regular application maintenance tasks, such as software updates, patches, and backups.
– Collaborate with other IT teams and departments to ensure seamless integration of applications with infrastructure components (Eg.
servers, databases, networks).
– Create and maintain documentation related to application installation, configuration, support, and troubleshooting procedures.
– Provide technical support and assistance to end-users, addressing inquiries and resolving issues related to software applications.
– Evaluate new software releases and updates, conducting testing and analysis to determine the impact and feasibility of implementation.
– Implement security measures to protect applications from unauthorized access and vulnerabilities.
– Lead, attend, and contribute to the appropriate team and stakeholder meetings and committees as required and relevant to ensure excellent stakeholder engagement and communication.
Skills and Qualifications: – Proven experience as an Applications Administrator or similar role in a corporate IT environment.
– Strong knowledge of enterprise software applications and their implementation best practices.
– Experience with enterprise application installation, configuration, support, and maintenance.
– Familiarity with database management systems (e.g.
SQL, Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL) and proficiency with SQL.
– Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to analyse complex issues and implement effective solutions.
– Solid understanding of network protocols, security standards, and system integration concepts.
– Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
– Experience with agile development projects and processes.
– Experience with M365 technologies – Experience with PaaS and SaaS solutions.
Mandatory: – Ability to attain and maintain security clearance, as required.
