Apparel Graphic Designer Mitchdowd – Ashwood, VIC Mitchdowd, a market leader in licensed apparel, is seeking a talented Apparel Graphic Designer to join our creative team. With iconic brands like Pokémon, Hello Kitty, and Dr. Seuss, and a strong presence across major Australian retailers, Mitchdowd has been at the forefront of fashion since 1987. We are looking for a passionate designer to work across multiple product categories with an emphasis on licensed apparel designs.
Key Responsibilities: Research key fashion trends, shapes, and colour palettes to create compelling mood boards that inspire new collections.Design storyboards, yardages, and placement prints using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.Develop original designs and ranges based on current trends, while also creating market-leading licensed apparel collections.Collaborate with the Business Manager to create commercially viable products tailored to the specific requirements of various retailers.Work closely with product developers and quality teams to troubleshoot any design issues and ensure the integrity of final products.Provide detailed submissions to licensors for approval and create scaled final artwork for factories.Key Requirements: Minimum of 3 years' experience in licensed apparel design, with strong expertise in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.Proven ability to design within licensed guidelines while maintaining a commercial, fashion-forward approach.Excellent graphic design skills with the ability to create seamless yardages and placement prints.Strong trend forecasting abilities, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for fashion.Experience in developing detailed submissions for licensors and technical artwork for factories.Ability to work in a fast-paced, creative environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.What We Offer: A competitive salary package commensurate with experience.The opportunity to work on globally recognized brands and contribute to a dynamic, innovative team.A collaborative and supportive work environment that values creativity and design excellence.If you're a creative, trend-savvy designer with a passion for licensed apparel, we'd love to hear from you!
