And now, we are looking for a Buyer to join our Buying team, reporting into the Senior Apparel Buyer. As a Buyer you will play a pivotal role within your department leading and developing your Assistant Buyer with all relevant tasks. You will liaise with a range of external Brands and internal stakeholders within the Business to ensure the right assortments are bought and ranged for our consumers.
As an Apparel Buyer, your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Analyse weekly/monthly/quarterly sales and trend to formulate quarterly Sales Plans Manage budgets and financially plan future seasons Manage and plan the space allocated to your department efficiently Attend all Brand appointments and events Maintain and develop all Brand relationships Confidently negotiate with Brands Brief, build, and product develop exclusive assortments with selected Brand partners Be constantly aware of new Brands and trends along with opportunities to diversify the Department to drive sales Present ranges for sign off with the BuyingDirector and Senior Buyer Actioning in-season Markdowns and proactively managing the future Orderbook Manage, mentor, and develop Assistant Buyers WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR Experience Buying sports fashion apparel or an experienced Buyer with passion for the sportswear industry Merchandising/Financial Planning experience is an advantage Experience in reporting analysis to identify trends Sound knowledge of current fashion sportswear trends Ability to effectively build relationships with stakeholders across all levels Negotiating and Influencing skills is an advantage Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment Strong organisational skills and a high attention to detail Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically across PowerPoint, Word, and Excel Valid driver's license is required to attend brand appointments and store visits WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?
