The Role: As the Team Leader for Lifestyle and Leisure at Yaralla Place, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents.
You will lead a dedicated team in the development and delivery of personalized leisure and lifestyle programs that align with each resident's care plan.
Your leadership will ensure that our activities promote health, happiness, and overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and manage a monthly calendar of group activities tailored to residents' needs and preferences.
Identify and nurture residents' individual talents, hobbies, and lifestyle preferences.
Oversee the implementation of leisure and lifestyle activities, ensuring they meet the mental, physical, spiritual, psychological, and emotional needs of residents.
Collaborate with the care team to support residents' care plans and report any changes in resident care to the registered nurse in charge.
Foster an inclusive and flexible approach to service provision, ensuring resident safety and wishes are prioritized.
Support and mentor new Lifestyle Officers, promoting a collaborative and supportive team environment.
Ensure all activities comply with the Aged Care Quality Standards and organizational policies.
Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Lifestyle Officer in an aged care setting.
Certificate III or IV in Leisure and Lifestyle (or similar) is desirable.
Current NDIS Worker Check (or willing to obtain).
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Creative and flexible in designing and implementing activities.
Commitment to resident-centred care and enhancing quality of life.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
