The Company is headquartered in Melbourne, Australia and has support offices in the UK, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Guatemala, and Bahamas.
As an API Engineer, you'll work directly with business stakeholders including operations, risk, infrastructure, finance, compliance, customer sales, onboarding, and support teams around the world to design, develop, and deploy new systems and services, whilst maintaining existing ones. You will be encouraged to take ownership of and improve the software you work with.
The role primarily requires coding in Golang, with our infrastructure in AWS cloud.
Key Responsibilities Your primary duties include but are not limited to:
Integrating new trading platforms with internal systems and a partner-facing API, which you will help build.Integrating liquidity providers with bridge providers (don't worry about the terminology if you're not familiar with it. We'll show you.)Assisting internal and external teams to diagnose and rectify problems with system integrations that you've done, we've done, and which we work with.Designing, developing, and deploying new systems and services, and maintaining existing ones. Who are you?A minimum of 3 years' professional experience with software development, with 5+ preferred.Golang experience is required.Experience with or demonstrated understanding of fault-tolerant, critical information flows, such as trading systems, payment services, or financial data management.Curiosity, willingness to learn, and to document that learning.Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in writing.An interest in trading, FX, Crypto or general finance.Familiarity with AWS cloud computing.Knowledge of database management, particularly MySQL, and experience in query optimisation.RESTful API and WebSocket experience, particularly in Golang.Trading systems knowledge, especially FIX protocol.Experience with or demonstrated interest in functional programming.Experience with DevOps and/or DevSecOps practices.
