Counsellor - Accessible Psychological Interventions (API) Location: Bentleigh East, VIC
Employment Type: Part-time, Fixed Term

Are you passionate about making a difference in mental health?
As an API Counsellor, you'll provide timely, evidence-based psychological interventions to individuals and families from diverse backgrounds, including CALD and ATSI communities.
Your work will focus on supporting clients experiencing mild to moderate mental health challenges, family violence, homelessness, and more.
Key aspects of the role Conduct intake assessments and deliver short to medium-term counselling.Provide therapy through various formats, including face-to-face, phone, and online sessions.Plan and implement follow-up strategies, including referrals.Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to achieve client-focused outcomes.Ensure accurate documentation and meet performance targets.What You'll Bring Qualifications: Tertiary degree in Psychology, Mental Health Nursing, Social Work, or Occupational Therapy.
Registration: Current AHPRA or AASW membership.
Experience: Proven expertise in mental health assessments and treatment, including trauma-informed care.
Skills: Strong communication, teamwork, and case management abilities.
Knowledge: Familiarity with evidence-based interventions and working with diverse populations.
