Who we are looking for As SPDR ETF Equities Investment Strategist you will be responsible for representing internally and externally our range of equity ETFs, highlighting how to best position and employ them in investor portfolios.
This position champions the strategic growth of SSGA's equity ETF products across Asia Pacific, by supporting the Intermediary and Institutional Client Coverage distribution teams as a subject matter expert across the sales cycle, providing support through the client journey of prospecting through to closing business and retention.
This sits within the Chief Business Office and works in partnership with the Client Coverage teams to author, communicate and provide detailed technical expertise on ETF investment strategies and how such strategies can be implemented by our clients.
Mirroring the distribution footprint of the SSGA Client Coverage distribution team in Asia Pacific, this role will provide subject matter expertise and support the teams in Japan, Australia, Hong Kong & Singapore and clients across Asia Pacific.

What you will be responsible for As a APAC ETF Equities Investment Strategist you will:
Collaborate closely with our portfolio managers and analysts locally and globally, to cultivate a deep understanding of the different investment approaches, underlying securities and results in order to represent all facets of the product internally and externally.Work closely with SSGA's Client Coverage distribution team and marketing teams to position the various equity investment strategies with our targeted clients and prospects; within the Asia Pacific region, to achieve SPDR Equity ETFs net new assets and revenue targets in locally domiciled, US Domiciled and UCIT ETFs.Develop and deliver investment, market and business communications to existing and prospective clients in one-on-one, small group, and large audience presentations.Provide updates on overall financial markets performance, economic trends and the overall investment outlook as articulated by SSGA's investment teams.Become a spokesperson with the ability to present a deep understanding of the equity investment process, market outlook, and strong advocate for the services.Prepare for client meetings, including updating presentation materials, portfolio review, competitor analysis and market update slides.Continually create new sales content ideas/ways to advocate products across the target markets.Work closely with other SSGA teams, including Marketing, Product and Capital Markets.Carry out market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities and gaps in the market at internal weekly meetings.What we value These skills will help you succeed in this role:
Strong leadership skills.Excellent presentation and communication skills.Proven investment writing skillset.Solution-oriented mindset.Strong technical ability with investment industry knowledge.Demonstrated strong knowledge of economics and capital markets, including global macro and marketing topics, particularly equities.Comprehensive asset management market and product knowledge across all SSGA ETFs asset classes/product lines.Education & Preferred Qualifications Degree qualified or equivalent with a financial or analytical discipline preferred.CFA qualified or progress towards the qualification is desirable.At least 10 years working in financial services is a must with some experience in a sales and product specialist role and extensive experience with the fixed income asset class.Exposure to financial systems such as FactSet, Morningstar Direct, and Bloomberg helpful.Proficiency in the practical applications of statistics, finance and economics to investment management is required.RG146 qualification desirable for Australia.About State Street What we do.
