The AOD Program manager is responsible for delivering a forty-two bed Alcohol and Other Drug Residential Rehabilitation service that provides opportunity for change and recovery with a primary focus on alcohol and other drugs, including volatile substance misuse, health management and life skills. The 12-week program includes access to a therapeutic program, resources, services, workshops, individualized recovery plans and continued care. Venndale uses a culturally appropriate approach to support participants to build on existing strengths and capabilities, aiming to re-empower clients to manage their lives, well-being, and make informed decisions affecting their health and lifestyles.
The AOD Program Manager is responsible for leading, managing, and developing Venndale Residential Rehabilitation Service employees to deliver this high-quality and contractually compliant residential program. Ensuring that the Service Delivery Model is structured to:
Facilitate sustained recovery and relapse prevention.Be goal-driven, purposeful, and focused on meaningful activities such as re-entry into education, training, or preparation for work and maintaining healthy relationships.Use a Case Management model to deliver treatment services and interventions, and continued care support.Ensure Individual Recovery Plans incorporate the clients' goals, and their physical and mental health.Support participants to achieve a reduction in harms associated with alcohol and other drug misuse and increase capacity for relapse prevention and independent living within their community.Key Responsibilities: Lead the team in the delivery of the program requirements to clients, as per the agreed operating procedures and guidelines, funding guidelines, relevant legislation, and quality frameworks.Influence the operational activities by contributing to the ongoing development and improvement in strategy and continuous improvement initiatives.Meet all program targets, compliance, and KPIs. Conduct self-audit activities as required.Collect weekly and monthly statistics as required and oversee input into the National Minimum Data Set.Responsible for effective staff management and development of direct reports.Undertake recruitment and selection of new and replacement staff in a fair and equitable manner.Thoroughly induct and train new and existing staff to ensure appropriate knowledge of the organisation, work practices, and governing internal and external policy and procedures is understood.Develop and maintain relationships with other key internal stakeholders including Human Resources and Corporate services.Develop and maintain external relationships including key stakeholders, agencies, service providers, and influencers that impact client needs and service delivery.Operate within and manage the Program budget.Provide timely and accurate reports on the service to the Executive Director, CEO, and funding bodies.Provide timely feedback to the Executive Director or CEO on incidents, risks, issues, and opportunities.Project manage an increase in available beds from 30 to 42 if required, with a potential for further expansion of services.Salary and Conditions: Salary: $120,000 per annum (pro-rata)

Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week – 7.5 hours per day [Monday to Friday | 08:00am – 4:30pm]
The successful applicant should possess the following: Diploma Community Services – Alcohol and other Drugs or equivalent qualifications.Extensive Management experience of a large collaborative, multidisciplinary team.Good communication skills and ability to communicate effectively and professionally with clients, staff, and stakeholders.Competent use of Information Technology, including software such as Word, Excel, and Outlook, and ability to produce high-level reports for Executive Management, Government, and other relevant stakeholders.Training or experience in rehabilitation and/or withdrawal services.Ability to manage a team with a large client case load in a 24hr program.Good time-management and organisational skills.Willingness to undertake further training and additional duties as required by management.Current NT Drivers Licence, National Police Check, and Ochre Card.Indigenous and/or Torres Strait Islander persons are encouraged to apply.
