Exciting casual opportunity for an experienced AOD & Mental Health Trainer/Facilitator to deliver professional development training programs.Casual role working approx.
1 day per week.
Attractive casual hourly rates.Immediate start available.
Based at our offices in South Road, Moorabbin with occasional travel to external sites.Windana provides connected services for more people in need. We provide services across Victoria for adults and young people experiencing alcohol and other drug harms, family violence, mental health challenges and social disadvantage.

Is this your next career opportunity? The Education trainer delivers professional development training programs to enrolled participants primarily from the health and community sector.
The Education trainer will work with the Education Manager to develop training content and deliver the training according to the training timetable.
Training may be delivered on-site at any of Windana's locations, online, or at external providers.
Delivery of the Diversion and Education for Teenage Offenders in Understanding Road Safety (DETOURS) program to young people aged 14-18 years who are at risk of or have committed traffic offending behaviour.Plan, prepare, and deliver training courses to participants in programs such as Mental Health First Aid, Foundations in AOD, Dealing with Challenging and Difficult Behaviour, and ASIST.Participate in course design and moderation and implement changes to content material as required.Provide flexible learning strategies that meet the learning needs of a range of participants.Utilise a variety of instructional media/materials appropriate to the learning outcomes.Provide individual support to participants as required and monitor their attendance and progress at venues where the program is delivered.Utilise instructional techniques appropriate to the learning outcomes and individual needs.What we're looking for: Demonstrated experience in teaching, training, or facilitating groups.Experience working with young people presenting with challenging behaviours.Experience working with clients in the AOD and/or Community Services sector.Strong organisational and administration skills, with attention to detail and an ability to work to strict timelines.Exceptional oral communication and relationship management skills, including an ability to deal sensitively and confidently with the general public.Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Publisher.Relevant Diploma level or higher qualifications in psychology, social work, health, community services, or a related discipline.Demonstrated understanding of the importance and application of inclusive practice when working with people from diverse communities.Ideally, experience and familiarity working from a Motivational Interviewing and/or Behaviour Change framework.Ideally, accreditation as a Mental Health First Aid instructor from Mental Health First Aid Australia and an ASIST trainer.Join our team to contribute to our life-changing work.
