Your new role
Evaluate the commercial and economic benefits of private sector investment proposals and ensure they meet the criteria of the investment attraction program. Assist in the creation and execution of targeted strategies for investment attraction and facilitation. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and evaluate investment opportunities. Foster strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to attract and facilitate high-value investments in Queensland. Conduct research and analysis on current and emerging economic and industry trends that impact business investment. Develop and maintain tools, templates, standards, and frameworks for program delivery and reporting, and support other administrative activities related to the investment program as needed. Prepare briefing notes, reports, and correspondence in response to investment enquiries and proposals, including the development of investment business cases. Perform additional tasks as directed by the Director and other senior members. No direct reports. You will report to the Director.
What you'll need to succeed
You have a finance background. Strong interpersonal skills and extensive experience in stakeholder engagement. Knowledge of commercial principles with experience in business development and/or investment facilitation. Proficiency in researching, analysing, and interpreting investment program data, as well as current and emerging economic and industry trends. Proven ability to evaluate private sector investment proposals. Demonstrated expertise in developing and managing reporting, governance, and risk management protocols. Dedication to upholding high standards of probity and confidentiality.
