We are partnered with a State Government Department in Brisbane to recruit a Senior HR Business Partner.Your new roleJoin this State Government Department as a Senior HR Business partner.
In this role, you will be one of three senior HR business partners in the team, you will provide HR services and advice on complex people matters, drive HR strategies, assist with workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, performance development, and case resolution.
This role reports to the Manager, has no direct reports and works closely with other units within the Business and Corporate Services directorate.
In this role you will:Provide expert advice and partner with senior leaders and managers, particularly regarding complex and sensitive employment relations matters and workplace change.Identify, develop and implement long-term strategies to address emerging workforce issues and build workforce capability, staff engagement and culture.Support strategic HR projects and process reviews by assisting key stakeholders in developing workforce plans, implementing policies, and improving employee performance and engagement.Support employee relations case management, and interpret and apply public sector legislation, directives, policies and agreements to manage employee matters.Partner with senior leaders to design, implement and review workforce change activities.Support and advise senior leaders in relation to the management of conduct and performance matters, complaints and grievance investigations, discipline matters and work with clients to resolve employee concerns and issues including conflict.Collaborate and contribute to the delivery of organisation-wide HR solutions, including improving the use of HR metrics to inform and drive business improvement.Educate, influence and coach stakeholders to implement HR strategies and assist them to better manage their workforce and establishment.What you'll need to succeedHR or Employee Relations experience is highly desirable.Ability to lead change in complex environments, using data and information to assist in implementing and developing people strategies.Ability to build enduring relationships.Ability to interpret industrial instruments and provide effective advice to senior leaders and managers.Can partner with senior leaders and managers to implement strategic and tactical initiatives.What you'll get in returnThrough Hays, this role offers you $75.75 per hour + super, an opportunity to progress your career with this State Government Department and:Weekly pay cycles.Opportunity to work remotely.36.25-hour work week.Nominated choice of superannuation fund.Online time sheet submission and approval.No hidden costs or payroll deductions for our services.Regular contact with consultants throughout the duration of your assignment.What you need to do nowIf you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV to ******, or call us now.
