About the Company: Davidson are working with a state government client who is seeking an experienced HR Generalist.
About the Role: You will be integral in managing and executing HR functions. Your role ensures that HR operations within the team are efficient, effective, and strategically aligned with our goals.
Establishment and Organisational Structure: Manage HR functions including creating/modifying positions. Conduct staff reconciliations and cessations. Maintain updated Vacancy Management Requests and organisational charts. Recruitment and Contractor Management: Oversee the recruitment process. Support recruitment panels. Track, monitor, and coordinate contract extensions and staffing requirements. HR Compliance and Record Management: Maintain position descriptions. Manage the conflict-of-interest register. Monitor mandatory training completions. Manage building ID requests. Manage HR records, i.e., work from home agreements. Employee Support and Case Management: Provide guidance on leave arrangements. Handle onboarding, induction, training, and offboarding processes. Coordinate EAS requirements. Collaborate with SWIM to manage injury cases effectively. About You: Demonstrated experience in end-to-end recruitment process; bulk recruitment is desirable. Demonstrated experience in managing establishments. Demonstrated experience in the creation of roles and role profiles. Demonstrated experience in a general HR role. HR Management Expertise: Extensive experience in HR management within complex organisations, preferably within government settings, including development of role profiles, recruitment, performance management, and compliance with legislative and government policy requirements.
Strategic and Analytical Abilities: Strong ability to plan and execute HR strategies that support organisational goals.
Detail-Oriented and Organised: Exceptional attention to detail with a proven ability to manage multiple HR functions simultaneously.
Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication abilities to effectively manage relationships with key stakeholders and support staff and management.
The Benefits:
$74.54 per hour + Super
3-month initial contract, possible extension.
