Our valued State Government client is looking for an experienced AO6 Communications Advisor to join their North Coast Region Team.In the role of Senior Communications Advisor, you will coordinate and supervise communication services for our significant projects program in the North Coast Region. You will lead a team responsible for executive correspondence, issues management, stakeholder relationship management, public affairs, media relations, and community engagement.As the Communications Advisor, your responsibilities will include:Lead, manage and coordinate the region's executive correspondence, community relations, and community engagement programs.Supervise and coordinate the work of communications officers across the region, including review and approval of communication material.Provide tactical and operational advice to regional staff on communications issues and strategies, including the development, implementation, and resolution of strategies and communication activities.Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate cooperation, coordination, and enhanced communication channels.Ensure appropriate governance frameworks are maintained and adhered to in order to monitor compliance with policy, legislation, regulations, standards, and procedures.Provide training, advice, and support to regional staff, consultants, and contractors to enhance communication skills for delivering projects and initiatives.To be successful in this role, you will have:A current Class 'C' Drivers LicenceWhile qualifications are not mandatory, a degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or marketing would be highly desirable.Accreditation from the International Association for Public Participation (IAP2) in Engagement, or the willingness to obtain one.Understanding of Infrastructure Sustainability Council of Australia framework and how it applies to infrastructure projects.
