ANZ Migration & Modernization PSA, APJ Partner Core TechDESCRIPTION

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.

The APJ Migration & Modernization Partner Solutions Architecture team is comprised of experienced AWS Solutions Architects spread across all areas of APJ, with deep domain experience in working with partners to help customers migrate and modernize workloads to AWS.

As a Partner Solutions Architect focused on migration partners in Australia and New Zealand at Amazon Web Services (AWS), you will have the opportunity to help shape and execute a region-level strategy to guide partners in building capability to migrate and modernize workloads to AWS for customers.

Your broad responsibilities will be owning the technical engagements with strategic AWS Partners.
You will get the opportunity to work directly with senior engineers and architects at these partners and their customers, and with AWS service teams, influencing their roadmaps and driving innovation.
In addition, you will have the opportunity to write white papers, deliver technical webinars, and speak at events.

Approx.
25-50% travel may be required.

Key job responsibilities
Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges.
The ability to create technical plans, achieve stakeholder buy-in and build consulting delivery capability at scale.
Experience in migrating Linux, Windows and container-based workloads from on-premises environments to public clouds or between public clouds.
Hands-on experience with migration technologies and services, such as AWS Migration Hub, AWS Application Migration Services, and AWS Database Migration Service.
Experience in modernization workloads during migration projects, transforming traditional workloads to use modern services such as containers, serverless, and managed services.

Professional-level fluency in spoken and written English is required.
Experience working with or for consulting partners to support opportunities or build practices is strongly preferred, but not required.
AWS certification and hands-on experience is preferred but not required.

A day in the life
You will work with AWS consulting partners based in Australia and New Zealand, helping them to develop migration and modernization capabilities, and supporting them in delivering migration and modernization projects for their end customers.
You will also collaborate with a global team of Migration & Modernization PSAs to build scalable technical content, best practice guidelines, and speak at public forums including but not limited to AWS conferences such as regional Summits, and AWS re:Invent.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g.
software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
- 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
- 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience
- Professional-level fluency in spoken and written English

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries
- Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud
- Cloud Technology Certification (such as Solutions Architecture, Cloud Security Professional or Cloud DevOps Engineering)
- Experience working with or for consulting partners, building practices or delivering professional services projects.
