Our journey has been one from small family businesses to large ones and now as part of the GWF family, which is still largely owned by the Weston family.About the role & key responsibilitiesDue to internal growth, we are currently recruiting for 2x Animal Care Technicians, these are full-time opportunities, working up to 38 hours per week from Monday to Friday.In this role you will support the team in a combination of duties related to the running of the breeding & farrowing or grower sites, including but not limited to:Tending to routine animal husbandry,Assisting with farrowing (birth),Cleaning and maintaining accommodation pens, fittings and equipment,Handling and using chemicalsOperating machinery and equipment.You will be responsible for caring for the animals including providing feed and water stock, caring for sick or injured stock and maintain herd health status at an acceptable level.Safety is a key focus of the site, you will be required to adhere to quarantine control procedures and abide by and promote all safety procedures and regulations across the piggery.You will also possess the followingTo be successful in this role, experience in animal/ stock handling is desirable but not essential.
