We are seeking to recruit a full-time Animal Care Officer (Animal Attendants) who bring experience of animal care to provide animal husbandry, implement behavioural initiatives, provide enrichment and care to all creatures great and small (dogs, cats, small animals to livestock) at our Rutherford Shelter.
The successful candidate will be required to work weekends. Perform animal care tasks such as cleaning cages/enclosures; medicating; feeding; exercising; assessing animals.Provide basic first aid to animals where required.Ensure high-level communication with managers and colleagues.Provide high-level customer service to all stakeholders, including the public.Certificate II Animal Care or equivalent, essential.
