Looking to join NSW's premier Animal Holding Facility? Are you passionate about helping your community? Do you want to help our four-legged furry friends? This role is for you Your new company Hays has partnered with a Council in Western Sydney to find experienced Animal Attendants to join their premiere animal re homing centre on a casual, ongoing basis. Your new role Joining a team of experienced and passionate animal attendants, a successful candidate will: Monitor and provide care for impounded animals. Clean and maintain kennels, catteries and surrounding areas. Feeding and watering all animals. Observe and report on the health of animals held to the Animal Welfare Officer. Administer basic oral medications as instructed. Assist with the movement of animals during their impounding and/or release as required. Assist customers with the identification of animals in the kennel/ cattery area. Manually handle animal faeces. Undertake a daily check of the kennel and cattery areas, self-watering devices in the kennels, kennel. Carry out microchipping of companion animals. Assist in the health checks, vaccinating, medicating, and worming of impounded animals as required. Participate in the council's after-hours emergency service when required. What you'll need to succeed In this role you will need to have: Minimum Certificate 2 In Animal Studies. Experience of handling animals in a similar role. Current Class C Driving Licence. Current First Aid Certificate X3 COVID Vaccinations What you'll get in return A successful candidate will work up to 38-hours per week with some weekend work and overtime available. This role pays $35.19 plus super and loading. This role is casual, ongoing with the opportunity to move permanent.
