Steelmaking Coal
Steelmaking coal is an essential ingredient in blast-furnace steel manufacture, producing steel used for critical building and infrastructure around the world. In Australia, we operate two open cut and three underground Steelmaking coal mines in Queensland's Bowen Basin, every year producing millions of tonnes of the highest quality hard coking coal for this purpose.
Job Description We are seeking a passionate, relationship-driven HR Adviser to join our HR team based at our Capcoal Mine Site in Middlemount.
This fast paced and dynamic position is based on site where you will partner with the business to deliver the mine's Human Resources services and performance targets and HR insights and influence that support business objectives and goals.
This role will be rewarding, varied and you will be required to:
Enabling the Human Resources business needs being met in line with the Capcoal's strategy and Human Resources Plan. Manage a positive employee relations climate proactively underpinned with healthy human resources practices. Support with advice across a broad spectrum of areas including recruitment, HR metrics, and development. Qualifications Key to your success in this role will be your:
Proven experience in a HR Generalist/Business Partnership role. Knowledge of relevant state and Australian employment legislation. Exceptional communication skills and ability to negotiate to influence and achieve stakeholder support. A resilient nature with openness for change. Demonstrated ability to drive best practice. Experience within the mining industry is preferred but not mandatory. Additional Information Full-time, permanent position - Monday – Friday. Flexible work arrangements, including 9 day fortnight available. FIFO CAMP (Company Funded). DIDO, Residential options. Relocation Assistance Provided. Middlemount Housing and Assistance (Sal Sac).
