In Australia, we operate five steelmaking coal mines in Queensland's Bowen Basin, and have additional joint venture interests in steelmaking coal and manganese, as well as copper exploration projects underway in North West Queensland and Western Australia.
Job Description We are seeking two Electrical Coordinator: Coal Clearance to join the team at Moranbah North Mine on a full-time, permanent basis with Anglo American. Reporting to the Coal Clearance Superintendent, you will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling the electrical maintenance activities within coal clearance operations to ensure a safe and productive mining environment is maintained.
As the Electrical Coordinator: Coal Clearance your responsibilities are, but not limited to:
Coordination of Coal Clearance maintenance activities to deliver maintenance targets safely, optimally, and in accordance with the annual maintenance and engineering plans. Create and implement rolling monthly plans to optimise the electrical maintenance performance to support the mine. Working alongside the Mechanical and Operations Coordinators, you will develop monthly work, resource plans and targets. Continually review and adjust the pathways to deliver operational excellence in line with legislative requirements and the annual Mine Operational Plan. Ensure appropriate materials, equipment and instructions are organised prior to the execution of maintenance plans. Build and develop your team to ensure optimal performance and high output is achieved. Monitor and analyse equipment performance data to diagnose risks to plan and improvement opportunities. Ensure all changes are risk assessed. Provide an on-shift focal point for the implementation of continuous improvement. Participate in mine site productivity and process improvement programs, and more generally to find and raise improvement ideas in areas such as safety, production, cost and efficiency. Comply with all statutory requirements. Consistently apply Safety & Health principles in all site interactions and take full ownership for safety on site and in your work area. Qualifications Electrical Trade qualification and relevant tickets (Electrical License, EEHA, LVSR, Complex Isolator, HV Switching). Demonstrated supervisory experience within an underground coal mine is essential. Hold the Supervisor and Risk Management qualifications (S1, S2, S3 & G2). Maintenance management & CMMS proven experience. Proficient experience with SAP or a similar program is desirable. Demonstrated ability to lead teams and drive performance in a safe and productive manner. Display ability to be able to collaborate and communicate across different levels of the organization.
