Anglicare's Strategy Team is recruiting a Strategy Manager, in an exciting time to be part of a leading aged care and community services provider! Our Strategy team is responsible for developing Anglicare's strategy and delivering high-impact strategic projects on Anglicare's priority challenges. As a core member of the team, the Strategy Manager will be exposed to interesting and tough problems and have a high degree of influence in shaping the future of Anglicare and the industries in which we work. Reporting directly to the Head of Strategy, the Strategy Manager will partner with business units and work across Anglicare's portfolio. Their work will be varied and may include growth, business planning, operating model, strategic business reviews, performance improvement, technology and AI, and M&A.
Typical accountabilities:
Define and structure problems and develop plans to solve them. Find and analyse data to reveal insights. Think strategically and innovatively to synthesise actionable recommendations. Lead meetings, workshops, and interviews to uncover perspectives, develop new ideas, and align teams across the organisation. Collaborate with SMEs from across Anglicare as a thought partner. Influence key business stakeholders to make decisions and develop plans – including the Board and Executive Committee. Facilitate organisation-wide strategic business planning. Key skills required:
Communication to influence stakeholders, in all forms (presentations, written documents, conversations, emails, messages, etc.). Collaboration and relationship-building with a diverse range of people (levels, roles, etc.). Independence, ownership, and initiative (including bringing in others and seeking additional resources when needed). Rigorous strategic problem-solving in complex and ambiguous contexts. Qualitative and quantitative (including financial) research and analysis. Organisation across multiple workstreams, prioritisation, attention to detail, and reliability. Process and project management, work-planning, and coordination. Ability to quickly learn new topics. Stakeholder management and meeting facilitation. Qualifications and experience:
3+ years working in a top-tier strategy consultancy or corporate strategy team. Experience working with executives/senior management, including interviews, presentations, and workshops, to drive alignment and decision-making. Exposure to or knowledge of aged care and community services (or adjacent industries) and for-purpose organisations. A demonstrable passion for working in the above areas. Experience working on quantitative analysis and models. Experience working independently. Experience working in a high-performing team environment. A Bachelor's degree (or higher) with a strong academic record. Leadership in academic, professional, or extracurricular settings. We do not mandate that successful candidates fully satisfy every item above. We may also recognise candidates whose competencies and experience exceed those above with greater seniority.
