Community Development (Community Services & Development) Contract/Temp Are you ready to make a difference in the community? We are seeking Facility Supervisors for casual vacancies based at our Launceston Lodge.
This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with the community and support Tasmanians in need.
This position requires 'overnight stays' (sleepovers).
What you will be doing in this role: Undertake tenancy management functions; Complete and/or arrange cleaning and maintenance; Work effectively and regularly liaise with tenants to ensure their health and wellbeing is maintained; Provide assistance and preparation of meals; Undertake administrative tasks.

You must have: Understanding of issues related to homelessness; Strong understanding of relevant legislation including the Residential Tenancy Act 1997 and occupational health and safety requirements or willingness to develop; Ability to work effectively within a team; Knowledge of external services to ensure tenants have appropriate levels of support; Well-developed computer and written communication skills; Strong written and oral communication skills.
The successful applicant will be required to: Provide a current Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People Registration (employment/volunteer category) including NDIS Worker Screening Check; Present an unsupervised contact with children or vulnerable people type National Police Check (no older than 12 months); Provide an International Police Check if you have resided for 12 months or more outside of Australia after the age of 16; Provide a satisfactory Anglicare assessed medical; Provide a current provisional or full Australian Driver Licence.
On commencement, the successful applicant will be required to undertake our structured Safeguarding Children Training program.
