About The Role:As an Android Developer, you will be at the forefront of creating innovative mobile application features. Your primary focus will be refining and enhancing Android applications serving a large customer base. This includes implementing new features, optimising performance, and resolving issues as they arise. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the application's stability and reliability, ensuring it continues to meet the high expectations of its users. Collaboration with engineering managers, product managers, designers, and QA engineers will be key to your success in this role, as you work together to prioritise updates and improvements based on user feedback and the company's strategic goals.
On your first day, we'll expect you to have:Experience with Agile methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban.Proficiency in working within a Mac/Linux development environment.Passion for user-centric design and a commitment to enhancing user satisfaction through continuous app improvements.Proficiency in Kotlin and Java, with strong knowledge of the Android SDK and the challenges of supporting various Android devices and versions.Strong understanding of Android UI development, including traditional Views and Jetpack Compose.Experience with RESTful APIs and integration with back-end services.Experience with Git or other version control systems, including conducting and participating in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.Ability to work effectively within a cross-functional team and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Salary Banding:$130,000 - $160,000 + Super
