About the Role The JBS Pork Division is currently recruiting for an experienced and results-driven Safety Operations Manager to join our team in Melbourne, VIC, on a permanent full-time capacity. Reporting directly to the General Manager – People & Performance, you will be working closely with the Rivalea leadership team as well as key site leaders across our Pork Division. The Safety Operations Manager will drive strategy and ensure that effective WHS policies, procedures, systems, and services are in place to maintain the highest level of safety compliance.
Relocation assistance will be provided for candidates willing to relocate to Melbourne.
Your key responsibilities will include: Partner with site leadership team to develop key prioritiesEnsure all facilities maintain continuous "audit ready" state of complianceOversee effective implementation and utilisation of risk assessment and risk prediction processes ensuring these are effective at identifying and mitigating riskProvide content and direction in regards to safety/health/wellbeing trainingReport as necessary for sites and executives to drive continuous improvementParticipate in WHS and workers compensation projectsProvision of technical and strategic directionMaintain and continuously improve the WHS Management systemMaintain and oversee WHS systemsManage WHS budgets and forecasting processesEnsure annual objectives for self and team are regularly reviewed and metAbout You The ideal candidate will have:
Tertiary qualifications in WHS or related fieldExtensive experience in a similar role in a fast-paced, multisite FMCG environmentSound understanding of WHS Legislation and Codes of PracticeDemonstrated experience in developing and executing complex WHS strategic plans that encompass compliance, risk management, systems, and safety leadershipSound knowledge and understanding of Australian state workers compensation schemes and self-insuranceHigh level of emotional intelligence and communication skills with an ability to positively influence the behaviour of others and drive sustainable organisational changeInterested?
