About the role
As a Senior Project Manager at Andrew Walter Constructions , you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the successful delivery of complex construction projects in southern Tasmania. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work with a dynamic team and contribute to the growth and success of our respected construction company.
What you'll be doing
Provide strategic leadership and direction for multiple construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards. Manage all aspects of the project lifecycle, including planning, scheduling, resource allocation, risk mitigation and stakeholder engagement. Collaborate closely with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams to understand requirements, communicate progress and resolve any issues. Monitor project performance and provide regular updates to senior management. Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement more efficient project management practices. Mentor and develop junior project management staff, sharing your expertise and fostering their professional growth. What we're looking for
Extensive experience (8+ years) as a Project Manager in the construction industry, with a track record of successfully delivering complex projects. Degree qualification in Project Management , Construction Management , Civil Engineering or a related field. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, contractors and internal teams. Proficient in the use of project management software, ie Procore, MS Project, Word, Excel etc and tools to plan, monitor and report on project progress. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on finding innovative solutions and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Commitment to safety and quality with a deep understanding of construction industry regulations, specifications and best practice. What we offer
