The primary purpose of the Packaging Technician is to ensure the timely and smooth production of chemicals and devices.
Duration: January to March (3 months), possibility of extension
Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm
Starting Salary: $19.00/hr + $2.50/hr respirator mask premium
Responsibilities & Duties Preparation for Production: Clean lab and equipment according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Prepare raw products and appropriate packaging materials Follow procedures and maintain all parameters conformant to cGMPs Use of full PPE including a full-face respirator and adhering to safe work methods daily Packaging of Chemicals and Devices: Prepare packaging materials Package bulk chemicals, devices, narcotics, and controlled substances Clean lab and materials used after completion of production Manufacturing Products: Complete the necessary forms for manufactured materials from subcontractors Weigh, package, prepare and ship the materials for manufacturing Qualifications One (1) to four (4) years experience in a production environment; chemical/pharmaceutical industry is considered an asset High School Diploma required Lifting required, heavy lifting of up to 60lbs is required at times Accountable, dependable, team player with great communication skills Excellent organizational and time management skills Attention to detail is a must Excellent communication skills in French (oral & written) required Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) What's In It For You Work/Life Balance – 40 hour workweek with early Fridays all year long, PTO, and vacation policy Invest in your health – Choice of modular plans, health spending account, and free Telemedicine Your Future is Bright – Opportunities to learn and grow within Medisca Save for your Future – Medisca contributes to a deferred profit sharing plan (DPSP) when you invest in RRSPs Help us grow – Employee Referral Program We like to have fun – company events throughout the year We thank all applicants for their interest; however, only candidates to be interviewed will be contacted.
