Analytics Lead

We are hugely excited about this newly created Analytics Lead role! This is a rare opportunity to join us at the start of a large technology transformation, where you will be the bridge between data and wider business. Reporting directly to our Head of Data and Analytics, you'll help support them execute our strategy, as well as designing and building reporting for all around the business. If you're someone who loves working in an environment where you can make your mark with limited red tape, you thrive on a challenge and can proactively identify ways to add value continually, we want to hear from you!
What a day might look like...
Building solid relationships with our executive and senior leadership teams, understanding their focus and data needs. Explaining complex data to leaders in a simplistic way. Designing and maintaining a robust and high performing data structure within the Modern Data Platform in Microsoft Fabric. Leading all business reporting, representing the Data and Analytics team to the business, including building our reporting backlog and delivering it. Leading a small team of 1, coaching and mentoring as you go, while being involved in the day-to-day analytics. What you will bring...
Proven leadership experience is a benefit; however, we are open to candidates ready to step up into a lead role with experience coaching and mentoring juniors. Exceptional SQL and Power BI skills; knowledge of Fabric and dbt is a bonus, Python knowledge is great but not essential. Excellent communication skills, collaborating effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues. Self-motivated, able to self-manage, think critically, and use initiative.
