About the role
As an Analytics Engineer at BRG you'll play a pivotal role in leveraging our source data to drive insights and inform strategic decisions. You'll collaborate closely with data analysts and other stakeholders to design, develop and maintain robust data and analytics models. Your expertise in data manipulation and modelling will be essential to extract valuable insights from complex datasets.
Key Responsibilities include: Collaborating with cross-functional teams and data analysts to understand data requirements and sourcesDesigning and implementing data pipelines to acquire, clean, and integrate diverse datasets from various sourcesDeveloping and maintaining data models to support analytics initiatives and business reporting needsOptimise query performance and data processing workflows to ensure efficient data retrieval and analysisIdentifying opportunities to improve data quality, accuracy, and consistency through data governance and quality assurance practicesCollaborating with data engineering to ensure the scalability, reliability, and efficiency of data pipelines and infrastructureDocumenting data processes, methodologies, and findings to facilitate knowledge sharing and maintain data integrityProviding guidance and support to other team members and contribute to the development of best practices About you Ideally you will have: Proven experience in Analytics and Data, working across business applications, systems, reporting tools and databases Proficiency in SQL is essentialExpert skills in data modelling, with frameworks like dbt would be extremely beneficialProven experience in data analysis, data manipulation, and Datawarehouse technologies (Snowflake, Bigquery, Redshift).Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in data analysis and manipulation (e.g., Python, R)An understanding of statistical concepts and techniques, as well as exposure to machine learning algorithmsExperience with data visualization tools and libraries (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Matplotlib, Plotly).Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders What's in it for you?
